Effects of Band-Resisted Abduction on Muscle Activity between the Barbell Hip Thrust and Barbell Glute Bridge

چکیده
The importance of hip extensor and abductor muscles for sport performance injury reduction is well-documented. To target these muscle groups, the barbell thrust glute bridge are used to load posterior kinetic chain while band-resisted abduction exercises, like side stepping, lateral chain. However, combining with hip-extension dominant exercises has not yet been investigated. In this study, ten male subjects underwent a two-part research protocol surface electromyography (sEMG) measured during 5-repetition maximum (5-RM) determine differences in peak mean muscular activity between (BBHT) (BHT), (BBGB) (BGB). results indicated three significant pairs, both banded conditions eliciting greater sEMG Upper Gluteus Maximus compared non-banded conditions. BGB unexpectedly elicited Medius BBGB. could potentially be explained by reciprocal inhibition synergistic dominance. Further needed make definitive statements on superiority over transferability performance.

The Software Migration Barbell
Software source migration is the reengineering task of deploying existing software in a new environment, by significant modification of the source code. This paper presents a model, called the “Barbell Model”, which accounts for the author’s experiences in carrying out semi-automated source migration tasks. The Barbell Model consists of three phases: source normalization, carried out in the sou...
متن کاملon translation of phatic communion and socio-cultural relationships between the characters of the novels
phatic communion is a cultural concept which differs across cultures. according to hofstede (2001), the u.s. tends to have individualistic culture; however, asian countries tend to have collectivistic cultures. these cultures view phatic communion differently. in individualistic cultures like u.s., phatic communion reflects speakers’ socio-cultural relationships in conversations. to see whether...

UNLABELLED Some recommendations suggest keeping the shank as vertical as possible during the barbell squat, thus keeping the knees from moving past the toes. This study examined joint kinetics occurring when forward displacement of the knees is restricted vs. when such movement is not restricted. Seven weight-trained men (mean +/- SD; age = 27.9 +/- 5.2 years) were videotaped while performing 2...
متن کاملEffects of bridge exercise on trunk core muscle activity with respect to sling height and hip joint abduction and adduction
[Purpose] This study evaluated the effects of bridge exercise on trunk core muscle activity with respect to sling height and hip joint abduction and adduction. [Subjects] Fifteen healthy adult males participated. [Methods] In the bridge exercise, the height of the sling was set low or high during hip joint abduction and adduction. Electromyography was used to compare the differences between the...
متن کاملA Comparison of Gluteus Maximus, Biceps Femoris, and Vastus Lateralis Electromyographic Activity in the Back Squat and Barbell Hip Thrust Exercises.
The back squat and barbell hip thrust are both popular exercises used to target the lower body musculature; however, these exercises have yet to be compared. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compare the surface electromyographic (EMG) activity of the upper and lower gluteus maximus, biceps femoris, and vastus lateralis between the back squat and barbell hip thrust. Thirteen trained w...
